Whilst on assignment for the Bulletin with Newsweek as an accredited correspondent to Australian Forces based at Camp Smitty near the township of As Sammawah, Iraq, this image was taken by Mick Toal during a foot patrol with callsign TWO TWO BRAVO.

The soldiers were instructed not to associate with any of the Iraqi women but while Private Luke Wiffen paused, a family came to the door to watch the 57RAR soldiers patrol by.  It was Mick's only opportunity to photograph an Iraqi woman during the assignment.
